Funded largly by Historic England, the project principally addressed the consolidation of the recently uncovered remains of a C12 Augustinian Monastry.

Church volunteers worked tirelessly to reveal the fascinating remains located beneath an C18 cemetary and Cbs assisted with the consolidation and conservation of those remains.

Careful excavation amidst the burials was required in the final stages of landscaping to enable the site to be better understood. The altar was repaired and a new inscribed altar stone installed along with lime pointing and masonry repair, careful relocation of large tomb stones and the cutting on site of turf for the softcapping of the wall heads.
